In this study, we are creating a dataset of baby faces so that we can better understand how people perceive and respond to babies’ emotional expressions.
What will the study involve?
A brief survey asking basic demographic questions.
A 1-hour online task in which you will view photographs of infants and rate their facial expressions. You will rate how positive or negative each expression appears and how calm or excited it appears. You will also indicate which emotion you think each infant is expressing.
What do participants receive?
SONA participants can earn 2 research credits for completing the study.
Prolific participants can earn $10 CAD for completing the study.
Who can take part?
You must be 18 years of age or older, able to read and understand English, and have normal or corrected-to-normal vision.
You also must not currently be pregnant or a parent of a child under 18 years of age.
